ATSEP Air Traffic Safety Electronics Personnel
Engineering support for the ATM and CNS equipment that keeps air traffic safe.
Job Purpose
For the provision of electronic and software support to ensure the safety of air traffic, by maintaining software specification integration and testing, conducting preventative and corrective maintenance, installing, commissioning, compiling, and revising documentation accordingly, including safety, security and quality management of ATM/CNS equipment/systems.
Bachelor's degree or Higher Diploma holders in:
- Electronic Engineering
- Mechatronic Engineering
- Avionic Engineering
- Communication Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- IT/Network Engineering
- 01 Execute maintenance and repair of ATM-related electronic equipment while ensuring availability.
- 02 Conduct scheduled preventive and ad-hoc repairs efficiently.
- 03 Check corrective/preventive maintenance work for compliance and abnormalities.
- 04 Prepare thorough documentation per GANS standards and regulatory requirements.
- 05 Generate daily and periodic technical reports accurately and timely.
- 06 Collaborate with the Electronics Supervisor and Engineering Team regarding emergencies.
- 07 Maintain knowledge of departmental administrative and safety management requirements.
- 08 Ensure personal and professional documents remain valid and renewed timely.
- 09 Comply with HR attendance policies.
- 10 Stay current with ATM and ATC systems information.
- 11 Participate in cross-training initiatives.
- 12 Fulfil additional operational duties as needed.

The scholarship is open to UAE Nationals only. Specific requirements for the ATSEP track are listed here — they may differ from the other three scholarship programmes.

Aeronautical Information Services Assistant
To ensure the flow of aeronautical data and aeronautical information necessary for Global Air Traffic Management (ATM) System safety, regulatory, economy, and efficiency in an environmentally sustainable manner. The role and importance of aeronautical data and aeronautical information changed significantly with the implementation of Area Navigation (RNAV), Performance-Based Navigation (PBN), Airborne Computer-Based Navigation Systems, Performance-Based Communication (PBC), Performance-Based Surveillance (PBS), Data Link Systems and Satellite Voice Communications (SATVOICE). Corrupt, erroneous, late, or missing aeronautical data and aeronautical information can potentially affect the safety of air navigation.
